It’s a joyous day! I was informed that “Faith, the Ugly Dog” received an “Honorable Mention” in the children’s book category of the 2015 Great Northwest Book Festival based in Hollywood, California!
The first thing I did when I was informed was to look skyward and shout out “You did it!” to my sweet Faith.
There were literally hundreds of entries to the contest this year! Although “Faith” didn’t win first place, receiving one of only four “Honorable Mentions” is a huge win to me!
I can’t tell you how happy I am, as well as humbled at the same time. I am grateful that Faith’s story resonated with the judges in this competition and I hope this win helps to spread the word about the book’s wonderful messages to many children!
